Where's the Other Half of That Moose?
We're out looking at houses. They're mostly similar in architecture, at least on the outside, but the inside finishing varies a lot, from almost contemporary to very traditional frilly. We come into one that seems to be all lace and prints, until we notice the deer head on the wall in the entrance. And then another in the living room. And then the gun case in the hall with ten rifles and shotguns. Well, okay, a lot of people hunt.
And then we glance in the garage. More than twenty sets of antlers, about half with heads still attached, were on one of the walls. Seems excessive. We are both reminded of the scene in the movie "Arthur" where Dudley Moore asks his host, "Where's the other half of that moose?"
