Shoe Story, an Austin Anecdote

Karen Hughes, former White House counselor to Dubya, has trouble finding shoes. She has big feet, size 12. For her wedding, for instance, she crammed her feet into size 10-1/2. Hurt a lot, she reports.
After she moved back to Texas, she finally found a store here in Austin, "Shoe Styles," that carries large sizes and lots of styles. Sort of a Big & Tall shop for feet. So she's in there shopping, raving to the owner about the wonderful selection he has in large sizes, and he says, "Oh, yes, the transvestites love us."
